Mind and Machine Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence (AI)is the latest form of machine intelligence - and is seemingly getting closer to emulating human thought and interactions. Alan Turing thought that a programme could be developed whereby it would be impossible, through dialogue, to distinguish between a live human being and a machine. Since the interactions he proposed are cerebral - what then of the human mind? Is the difference only that one has a biological base and the other an electronic base?

AI performs tasks of greater and greater complexity - is that all there is about the mind? Mind and Machine Intelligence sheds light on this pressing topic.
